Bochum Barflies Announce Donation Drive for Dugouts

The Bochum Barflies Baseball and Softball Club is thrilled to announce our donation drive on the Heimathelden platform organized by Volksbank Bochum Witten.

Our project, “Bau von sicheren Spielerunterständen (Dugouts),” aims to enhance the safety and infrastructure of our baseball field in Bochum-Werne. For the past decade, we’ve invested countless hours in maintaining and improving the field. Now, with the growing focus on youth engagement and community sports, this project is critical to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for current and future players.

Bonus Spendemarthon

From December 1 to December 6, 2024, this exciting fundraising initiative will give our community a chance to make a real impact on local projects, including ours! Here’s how the Spendenmarathon works:

  • Every private donation made during this period will count.
  • Volksbank will contribute an additional €75,000, divided proportionally among all participating projects based on the amount raised.
  • Every donation—big or small—brings us closer to our goal and unlocks more support from Volksbank!

Why We Need Your Help
With your support, we aim to build sturdy, reinforced dugouts that offer protection during games and create a safe environment for our youth players. While our members will contribute their skills and labor to keep costs down, we need funding for materials like concrete, reinforcement bars, construction wood, and more.

How to Help
Supporting the Barflies is simple:

  1. Visit the Volksbank Bochum Witten Spendenplattform
  2. Find our project under “Bau von sicheren Spielerunterständen (Dugouts)
  3. Make your contribution between December 1 and December 6
    • Donations will continue to be accepted even after the bonus period

Together, we can achieve something extraordinary. Not only will your support help us build a safer field, but it will also inspire the next generation of baseball and softball players in Bochum.

Let’s hit this one out of the park! Stay tuned for updates, and thank you for being part of our journey.
