BarLiz II Loses Lead Early In Defeat
BarLiz II fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 24-8 loss to Krefeld Crows on Saturday. Krefeld Crows scored on a single by Jan Frömmings, an error, a walk by Oliver Nöding, a groundout by Marc Schultheiss, a single by Stefan Kohn, and an error in the first inning.
Despite the loss, BarLiz II did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Krefeld Crows had 13 hits on the way to victory.
BarLiz II notched four runs in the second inning. Gerhardt, Krause, and Paul powered the big inning with RBIs.
Krefeld Crows scored nine runs in the third inning. The big inning for Krefeld Crows came thanks to singles by Jentges, Steinmetz, Schultheiss, and Kempers, a triple by Gersonde, and a groundout by Kohn.
Gersonde took the win for Krefeld Crows. He allowed four hits and four runs over two and a third innings, striking out two.
D Köster took the loss for BarLiz II. He lasted one-third of an inning, allowing two hits and eight runs.

BarLiz II’s Strong Offense Not Enough To Secure Win Against Wuppertal Stingrays II
Scorekeepers were kept busy today during a high-scoring contest between Wuppertal Stingrays II and BarLiz II where BarLiz II lost 24-8.
The BarLiz II struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Wuppertal Stingrays II, giving up 24 runs.
BarLiz II captured the lead in the first inning when Raul Barroso Mayeta drew a walk, scoring one run.
Wuppertal Stingrays II took the lead for good with eight runs in the second inning. In the second Ortmann doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, Zeitschner singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Busse singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Züber singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run, Mangold singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, and an error scored one run for Wuppertal Stingrays II.
Züber was the winning pitcher for Wuppertal Stingrays II. He surrendered three runs on five hits over five innings, striking out nine.
Peter Beargie took the loss for BarLiz II. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing 17 runs on 12 hits and striking out three.

BarLiz II Claims Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Duisburg Dockers
BarLiz II snagged a late lead and defeated Duisburg Dockers 7-5 on Sunday. The game was tied at five with BarLiz II batting in the bottom of the fifth when R Kunert singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
BarLiz II captured the lead in the first inning when R Barroso Mayeta grounded out, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, BarLiz II tied things up at five when an error scored one run for BarLiz II.
BarLiz II put up three runs in the fourth inning. Patrick Schulz, D Köster, and H Gerhardt each drove in runs during the inning.
Köster got the win for BarLiz II. He lasted five innings, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out nine. T Nengelken threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Nengelken recorded the last six outs to earn the save for BarLiz II.
