Düsseldorf Senators II vs Bochum Barflies

Heiß, heißer, Tim Negelken!!! Nicht nur das Wetter war an diesem Spieltag in Topfform, sondern auch der junge Pitcher Tim Negelken. Doch dieses mal anders als üblich, nicht auf dem Mound, sondern eher im Rightfield und an der Platte.

Am Sonntag den 17.07.2022 ging es nach Düsseldorf gegen die Düsseldorfer Senatoren in die Schlacht. Von Anfang an machte die schwüle Luft beiden Teams zu schaffen. Dennoch wollte man es sich nehmen lassen und gleich von Beginn an auf Angriff schalten. So zeichnete sich schon früh ein runreiches Spiel ab. Gepaart mit guter defensiver Leistung – ein spektakulärer Flyingcatch im Centerfield der Bochumer – machten die ersten Innings zu einem Kopf an Kopf rennen. Nur beim Pitchen hatten die Jungs aus Bochum irgendwie den Wurm drin. Was zu vielen Walks und verschenkten Runs führte. Im Laufe des Spiels fanden sich die Barflies so auch eher im Rückstand wieder. Erst durch eine grundsolide Performance von Stephan Tonk, einem alteingesessenen Pitcher der Bochumer konnten diese wieder auf Kurs gebracht werden. Gedopet mit dem nötigen Rückwind vom Mount fuhren die Bochumer die Runproduktion wieder hoch und auch Tim Negelken setze zum Sprint an. Im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. In der Defensive glänzte er mit einer Rakete aus dem Rightfield in Richtung Home, wo der Catcher erfolgreich zum Tag ansetzen und so ein wichtiger Run für die Senatoren verhindert konnte. Kurz gefolgt von einem Geschoss auf die erste Base, was wiederum einen (normalerweise) sicheren Hit verhinderte. Und auch an der Platte war Tim nicht zimperlich. Zwei Inside-The-Park-Homeruns hintereinander krönten die unterm Strich grandiose Leistung des 21-jährigen.

Alles in allem, trotz zwischenzeitlich sehr zähen Innings ein doch sehr ansehnliches Spiel und am Ende ein 27:20 Sieg für die Bochumer Barflies.

Düsseldorf Senators Stay Competitive, Bested By Bochum Barflies

Even though the Düsseldorf Senators and Bochum Barflies both had their opportunities, it was Bochum that eventually prevailed 27-20 on Sunday. The game was tied at 20 with Bochum batting in the top of the eighth when Schulz drew a walk, scoring one run.

Vilzie collected four hits in defeat. Vilzie singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, and singled in the seventh.

Bochum got on the board in the first inning. Noa-Bolano’s sac fly scored one run for the Barflies.

Düsseldorf knotted the game up at 20 in the bottom of the seventh inning. Effenberger drove in two when he singled.

After Bochum scored three runs in the top of the sixth, Düsseldorf answered with three of their own. Bochum scored when an error scored one run for Bochum, Nengelken grounded out, scoring one run, and Schulz singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Düsseldorf then answered when Marcinkowski drew a walk, scoring one run, Bronisch drew a walk, scoring one run, and Zander drew a walk, scoring one run.

Düsseldorf notched seven runs in the fifth inning. Düsseldorf big bats were led by Vilzie, Kolter, Czelinski, Kirschner, and Thorenz, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Bochum scored seven runs in the seventh inning. The big inning for the Barflies came thanks to a walk by Balk, a groundout by Tonk, and an error on a ball put in play by Froning.

Tonk earned the win for Barflies. The pitcher surrendered two runs on three hits over three and a third innings, striking out three. Froning and Nengelken entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Effenberger took the loss for the Senators. The bulldog surrendered six runs on two hits over one and two-thirds innings.

Theis started the game for the Barflies. The righty surrendered five runs on four hits over three innings, striking out one and walking zero Thorenz started the game for Düsseldorf . Thorenz lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out four and walking zero

Düsseldorf saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. Vilzie, Bronisch, and Effenberger each racked up multiple hits for NRW Düsseldorf Senators. Vilzie went 4-for-6 at the plate to lead Düsseldorf in hits. Düsseldorf tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Vilzie led the way with three.

Bochum racked up 18 hits in the game. Nengelken, Schulz, Froning, Balk, and Brückmann each collected multiple hits for Bochum Barflies. Bochum stole 25 bases during the game as seven players stole more than one. Balk led the way with five.

Minden Millers vs Bochum Barflies

Early Lead For NRW Minden Millers Sets Stage For Victory Over Bochum Barflies

The Minden Millers jumped out to an early lead over the Bochum Barflies and took home a 17-7 victory on Sunday. Minden scored on a groundout by Haan in the first inning, a groundout by Hinnah in the first inning, a walk by Rürup in the first inning, a single by Mars in the first inning, and a groundout by Hinnah in the second inning.

Bochum scored four runs in the seventh inning, but Minden still managed to pull out the victory. Penger and Sinev all drove in runs in the frame.

After Bochum scored one run in the top of the third, Minden answered with one of their own. Bochum scored when Penger hit a solo homer. Minden then answered when Schmoller singled, scoring one run.

Minden put up five runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Minden was led by Mars, Erhardt, and Schmoller, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Hasfeld earned the win for NRW Minden . The fireballer lasted seven innings, allowing 12 hits and seven runs while striking out four.

Nengelken took the loss for Bochum. Nengelken surrendered 13 runs on 11 hits over five and a third innings, striking out seven.

Minden launched one home run on the day. Schmoller went deep in the fourth inning.

Minden racked up 14 hits. Erhardt, Mars, Hinnah, and Schmoller all collected multiple hits for Minden. Erhardt went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Minden in hits.

Bochum tallied 12 hits in the game. Schulz, Penger, and Sinev each collected multiple hits for Bochum . Schulz led Bochum with three hits in three at bats.

Bochum Barflies vs Ratingen Goose-Necks II

Froning Collects Four Hits As Bochum Barflies Defeats NRW Ratingen Goose Necks

Four hits from Froning paved the way to victory for the Bochum Barflies over the Ratingen Goose Necks 15-5 on Sunday. Froning doubled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the sixth, and singled in the eighth.

An early lead helped propel Bochum to victory. Bochum scored on a groundout by S Balk, a single by Sinev, and a walk by Brückmann in the first inning.

Bochum tallied seven runs in the third inning. Bochum’s big inning was driven by singles by Noa-Bolano, Nengelken, and Drewers and a sacrifice fly by Sinev.

Nengelken earned the win for Bochum. Nengelken lasted six innings, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out nine. Penger threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Reusse took the loss for Ratingen. Reusse lasted three innings, allowing nine hits and 11 runs while striking out two.

Bochum tallied 16 hits on the day. Froning, Drewers, Nengelken, and Noa-Bolano all collected multiple hits for Bochum. Drewers and Froning each collected four hits to lead Bochum. Froning led Bochum with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 12 stolen bases.
