Brückmann kicked off the action with a leadoff triple, setting the stage for what promised to be an electrifying game. But Dortmund wasn’t about to roll over—they capitalized on some early nerves from Bochum, snagging a couple of runs in the bottom of the first.

However, it didn’t take long for the Barflies to shake off the jitters and unleash their offensive fury. From the third inning onward, it was all Bochum, all the way. They lit up the scoreboard with 4 runs in the third, followed by a monstrous 8-run explosion in the fourth, and a jaw-dropping 10-run barrage in the fifth! Talk about an offensive onslaught!
