Barflies Takes A Tough Blow From Minden Millers

Barflies had a tough time generating runs on Sunday, dropping their game with Minden Millers 10-4.

Minden Millers captured the lead in the second inning. J Mars singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Minden Millers took the lead for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third D Erhardt singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

Minden Millers scored three runs in the seventh inning. I Schmoller, Mars, and Erhardt each had RBIs in the big inning.

Dennis Hasfeld got the win for Minden Millers. Hasfeld allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out six. A Haan threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Stephan Tonk took the loss for Barflies. The right-hander allowed eight hits and five runs over four innings, striking out four.

Ilia Sinev, Peter Beargie, Jakob Pein, Michael Junga, Adrien Noa-Bolano, and Daniel Trompeter each managed one hit to lead Barflies.

Minden Millers saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Hasfeld, Schmoller, S Schmoller, and Mars all managed multiple hits for Minden Millers. Minden Millers tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Hasfeld led the way with four.
