Bochum Barflies Drops 11-6 Game To Minden Millers Despite Efforts Of Marian Simion
Marian Simion went 2-5 and hit a home run, but Bochum Barflies still fell to Minden Millers 11-6 on Saturday at Bochum.
Dennison Hasfeld got the win for Minden Millers. He pitched three shutout innings. Hasfeld struck out two, walked four and gave up two hits.
Semjon Schmoller, C Klinke and Sean Payne helped lead Minden Millers. They combined for six hits and seven RBIs.
Christian Theis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out six.

Bochum Barflies failed to take advantage of Andreas Laudien’s effort at the plate on Sunday, losing 36-27 to Holzwickede Joboxers two at Bochum.
Laudien had four extra-base hits for Bochum Barflies. He singled in the first inning, homered in the seventh inning, and doubled in the fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.
Holzwickede Joboxers two easily handled Bochum Barflies pitching as nine hitters combined for 20 hits, 19 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
Four relief pitchers didn’t loosen their grasp on the win as they finished off the game for Holzwickede Joboxers two. Ax faced 27 batters in relief, while Paasch managed to record six outs to aid the victory.
The top of the first saw Holzwickede Joboxers two take an early lead, 5-0. A single by Orser, bringing home Becker started the inning off. Andreas Laudien did his best to will Bochum Barflies to a win with a two-hit game, but Bochum Barflies dropped a 15-4 contest to Duisburg Dockers on Saturday at Bochum.
Two of Bochum Barflies‘ runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Laudien. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Esch got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over eight innings. Esch struck out 14, walked three and gave up six hits.
Christian Theis couldn’t get it done on the rubber for Bochum Barflies, taking a loss. He allowed 11 runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked six and struck out seven.
Duisburg Dockers stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring three runs on a two-run double by Clauges and an RBI single by Lars.
One Bochum Barflies baserunners came all the way around to score in each of the first, fifth, sixth, and seventh. In the first, Bochum Barflies scored on an RBI double by Laudien, plating Sang Hyun Cho.
Duisburg Dockers increased its lead with three runs in the sixth. Pusch singled, scoring Joeller to start the inning.
